What to Expect
Welcome to Five Stones Church. We’re glad you’re interested in visiting our church. You’ll find that we are not a group of perfect people, but our desire is to be a group of authentic people worshiping a perfect Savior. You’ll find that we preach the transformational gospel of Jesus Christ unapologetically in our God-centered worship services. Our desire in all that we do is to bring glory to God by encouraging people to know God and to take their next step with Him. We hope you join us at a weekend service and more importantly, that you’ll choose to partner with us.

How Will I Know Where to Go?
Upon arriving at Five Stones (Cuthbertson Middle School) you will be directed by our Team to ensure that you get to where you need to go. Our First Impression Team will be easy to identify in the parking lot, hall ways, etc as they will be wearing shirts for you to easily spot. Their number one goal is to help you transition through our campus so that you can feel comfortable in taking your next step with God.
What Should I Wear?
While casual dress is the norm at Five Stones Church you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. For some people normal is a dress or suit and for others its jeans. The point is that you don’t have to dress up special for us, and you don’t have to dress up special for God. Come as you are. Ultimately at Five Stones it’s not about a fashion show; it’s a gathering of real people seeking to have a real relationship with God.
What is Your Worship Like?
At Five Stones Church, we believe that WORSHIP is a LIFESTYLE, it is how we live our lives out loud.
When we come together on Sunday morning, you will find a “come as you are” casual atmosphere. We believe that your worship experience will be authentic, intimate and personal. The music is modern, and the experience continues to span generations.
Our pastor shares “life changing” messages that are applicable to your everyday life.
Take time this Sunday to visit us, we promise that your worship experience will be like no other.

What About My Children
WonderZone (Infants through Transitional Kindergarten)
Wonder Zone provides a safe and fun environment where children experience God’s love for them through relevant Bible teaching, drama, music, discussion, and age-appropriate activities. Following a large group teaching time, preschoolers ages two and above gather in their small groups, where their trained leader helps foster relational and spiritual growth through age-appropriate games, conversations, and interaction with one another.
All preschoolers will be checked in using our electronic computer check in system. A nametag will be put on your child and you will receive a nametag with the corresponding number. For safety reasons, this nametag must be presented when picking up your child. In our Infant Classroom, you will be asked to complete an “All About Me” card to let us know your child’s schedule (feedings, naps, etc.). We will do our best to keep your child on their normal schedule!
Discover Factory (Kindergarten through Fifth Grade)
Discover Factory is a unique approach to traditional Sunday school. It is built around three basic truths.
- I need to make the wise choice
- I can trust God no matter what
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated
In Discover Factory children are led through an interactive large group story, high energy worship and prayer time. Afterward children will transition into grade leveled small group time with activities and discussion. Small group time will be a special place for students to build spiritual and relational growth with their peers and adult leaders.
All children will be checked in using our electronic computer check in system. A name tag will be put on your child and you will receive a name tag with a corresponding number. For safety reasons, this name tag must be presented when picking up your child.
What About Students?
The Five Stones Student Ministry is for those in grades 6th-12th. Our students meet on Sunday nights in a unique loft like space in Downtown Waxhaw. This is an ideal student environment for them to take their next step with God. This time will consist of a Master Teaching Time, Small Group Time, and a dinner. This design frees our students up to use their gifts to serve on Sunday mornings and then attend the 10:30am worship service as a group. See below for an example schedule.
Our Student Ministry desires to Encourage students to know God and to take their next step with Him. The Student Ministry will help coach next steps by working out three primary things. We believe there are three things every student should experience in the Five Stones Student Ministry (and in life)—three things they must experience in order for them to have a personal, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Those three things are wonder, discovery and passion — and they ultimately affect everything we do. They pull at our hearts, drive our behavior and capture our imagination.
