Suzie grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. At a young age, Suzie learned about the unconditional love of God, the importance of serving others, and the value of fellowship with other believers. She moved to Charlotte after graduating from UNC at Pembroke with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Suzie has worked in education for over 13 years as a teacher and private learning coach. 2018 she graduated from Winthrop University with her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Throughout Suzie's life, she has been actively involved in children's ministry, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Praise Band leader, and helping to lead numerous Vacation Bible Schools.

Suzie and her husband, Nick, were married on New Year's Eve in 2015. They have two young children, Hope and Seth, with another little one on the way this November. They found Five Stones through Stepping Stones Preschool. Suzie and Nick appreciate how much the Family Ministry Team and those who served in Wonder Zone loved their children while they attended the worship services. God made it evident that Five Stones was the church they needed to become a part of. They have both been so thankful for God's timing and answers to prayers. Suzie's favorite Scripture, throughout this season of parenthood, has been Psalm 37:7, "Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for Him to act."
