Rick is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has experienced a multitude of careers over the years, including Emergency Medical Services, Law Enforcement, Personal Protection (bodyguard), Project Management, Commercial Construction, and Residential Building. Rick is the proud father of two beautiful daughters. After his second daughter was born, he transitioned to a work/stay-at-home dad while his wife Megan continued her career in the pediatric cardiac surgery area. In 2015, his family moved south to the Carolinas. Between house projects over the last five years, Rick has worked part-time in the construction industry again. In the summer of 2021, Rick and his family came to Waxhaw, North Carolina. As his family has settled into the area, Rick has prayerfully been pursuing God's next steps in his life, and the door opened for him to come on staff at Five Stones. He is excited to be serving at Five Stones, getting to know people, and building community.  

In his free time, Rick enjoys anything outdoors, including mountain biking, hiking, fishing, camping, and more. He also loves spending time with his wife, daughters, and his crazy sidekick German Shepherd Zeke.
