Our mission in Family Ministry is to partner with parents to leverage their influence for the next generation to know God and take their next step with Him. Wonder Zone is full of fun-filled age-appropriate zones designed JUST for your kids! At Five Stones we believe that what a child learns in Preschool will shape who they will become as a child, teenager, and adult.
Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions to learn more about Wonder Zone:
What is your goal for Wonder Zone? The goal in Wonder Zone is to provide a loving, safe and exciting environment where children can learn about God and His love for them. We believe that it is our job to partner with parents as they seek to raise their children to know who God is and how much He loves each of us. We strive to equip parents with tools that will help them achieve this goal throughout the week such as take-home flyers or crafts that help reinforce the weekend teaching.
How do I check-in my kids? Checking your children into Wonder Zone is quick and painless. If you are a first-time visitor, please visit our Guest Services table to get started in this process, and someone there will greet you with a smile and show you exactly where to go and how to walk through the process. Return attendees can check in at our Family Ministry Corner and then head down the hall to our Wonder Zone environments.
What ages can attend Wonder Zone? Wonder Zone is for children from Birth – PreK.
What Curriculum is used in Wonder Zone environments? We use the My First Look curriculum which is produced by the Rethink group. Our Preschool Team uses several key strategies:
Teach less for more: Repeats one key truth (Bottom Line) all month long
Engage the five senses: Helps master the concept through creative activities.
Teach with the end in mind: Helps a child by the age of 4 to walk away knowing that:
- God made me
- God loves me.
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
How secure is Wonder Zone? We have gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of every child who comes through the doors of Wonder Zone. Each child has a name tag that is matched to a parent identification number. Volunteers are screened with an interview and a federal background check. Our environments are monitored by a security team during all services. Safety is a top priority as we care for your precious little ones.
What if my child has allergies? Allergies can be printed on the child’s name tag. This can be done at the check-in kiosks or by giving us more in-depth information, especially for severe allergies by contacting the Preschool Ministry Coordinator.
