CONGRATULATIONS to Anthony and Katie Caputi on the birth of their daughter. Claire Cordelia Caputi was born on September 6th at 4:07am. She weighed 7 lbs and 3 oz and was 19″ long. Her big brother and sisters couldn’t be prouder and we can’t wait to love on her in The Wonder Zone!
SHARE LIFE: We believe community is done in circles, not in rows and invite you to JOIN A LIFE GROUP! Registration begins this Sunday, September 24th. Go Beyond the Chair this fall and consider facilitating or hosting a life group. Stop by the Share Life kiosk for more info! Or can go to our website: http://www.fivestoneschurch.com/life-groups/
EXCITING THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT BASECAMP: The new Summit Student Ministry on Sunday nights is growing with new students each week. We are in great need of Servant Leaders who can serve alongside another leader to help facilitate a Small Group of 12 students. There are specific opportunities to serve with our 6th, 7th, and 9th grade girls. As our ministry grows we will need leaders for other grade levels for both guys and girls. If you are interested in Serving as a Small Group Leader or in any capacity at Summit BASECAMP on Sunday Nights, we would love for you to contact Nicole for more information.
LIFESTYLE OF GENEROSITY: The Staff Team, under the oversight of the Elders and Finance Team, have remained frugal as well as great stewards of the money God has provided Five Stones through hardworking people. It is a blessing to be able to do Sunday and weekday ministry and pay rent for the School Campus while being under construction at the Community Campus. For those who remain diligent and generous, thank you! As people have been out of town throughout the summer we have noticed a decline in giving, which could ultimately begin to impact ministry. We believe that generosity is not simply a one time or occasional action. Instead, like other things God has entrusted to our care, we believe generosity is a lifestyle. If you have not given a financial gift in a while or you have never taken the step of giving a financial gift, would you consider taking that next step? You can do that as part of your personal worship time by visiting us online at www.fivestoneschurch.com and clicking the “give online” link or you can come prepared to give as part of Community Worship this Sunday. If you have questions as to what your financial gift goes towards, please feel free to reach out to LD, our Director of Operations, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
COMMUNITY CAMPUS UPDATE: Here are things to celebrate and pray for…
Hurray! – the turn lane on Cuthbertson Road is taking shape // our entrance island has been installed / most of the sidewalks are completed // playgrounds are shaping up // final coats of paint are being applied // we formally met and submitted a request that Wesley Chapel would provide us special provision for the delay of a few site construction items…they have accepted 3 of the provisions and are working towards approving the final provision!
Prayer – please pray that Five Stones will continue to be a church that lives a lifestyle of generosity – we would love for every person at Five Stones to participate financially in the development of the Community Campus // Final Inspections begin Monday // that Wesley Chapel would provide us special provision for the final item (praying for their favor).
SURPRISE – We did not think that Hurricane Irma would impact our construction progress in the way that it did. Our Electricians are from South Carolina, so they were pulled from our project for 4 days so that they could go evacuate their families. The construction crew from Union Power that will install our lights were sent to Georgia to assist Georgia Power with their needs resulting from the hurricane. Naturally, our prayers are with those who have been impacted in a way more severe way than we have been. Keeps things in perspective!
