Project 621 in partnership with “For the Family” events is hosting a community wide event to raise awareness of human trafficking both locally and globally. The Speak Up event will take place on Saturday, March 2 from 6:00-8:30 PM on the campus of Five Stones Church. Childcare will be offered at a minimal cost with registration required. Sign up today!
LOCAL OUTREACH OPPORTUNITIES
Five Stones Church partners with Waxhaw Elementary and Western Union Elementary to supplement meals/snacks for children in need they can easily prepare for themselves at home. This supplemental food program runs September through May is just one way we come alongside families in the community.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group… Do a food drive for the specific needed items CLICK HERE . The Rack Clothes Closet
The Rack Clothes Closet is our bi-yearly community free clothing event to assist families in need within our school partnerships and Union County. A perfect opportunity to actively live out our faith by loving on our neighbors.
We accept donations for the clothing ministry at the Engage Culture kiosk on Sundays or at the the Five Stones HQ Monday-Thursday 9am-4:30pm. We meet on Thursday mornings at 9:30am to sort clothing at the Five Stones HQ.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group… Clean out your closets and donate gently used clothing and shoes for our bi-yearly events, join our weekly sorting team, spread the word among families in need in the community, and gather a team to serve at our events. Five Stones’ food and essentials pantry is available for those in need in our community and our church body. We accept donations of non-perishable food items year round to provide for emergency needs along with partnering with other local food pantries to provide for the immediate needs of our community. Did you know there are items you can’t purchase with food stamps? Essentials such as toilet paper, laundry detergent, soap, cleaning products, toiletries, feminine products, and diapers. South Providence School
South Providence School in downtown Waxhaw is an alternative program for middle and high school students with exceptional needs and at-risk of long-term suspension. The school does not have a PTO to help with fundraising, events and extra needs. We have the opportunity to come alongside the families and staff of South Providence by providing uniform shirts, meals for parent meetings, and supplying their school store.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group…Items Needed: Uniform polo and sweatshirts – black, white, gray, tan or khaki || School Store – Snack Size chips, cookies or drink boxes || Drop off at the Engage Culture kiosk on Sundays or at the the Five Stones HQ Monday-Thursday 9am-4:30pm.
Meals for Waxhaw Police
Our police department works around the clock to keep us safe and improve our community. A small way to show our appreciation for all they do is to prepare and deliver a meal for them.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group… Schedule a date through our Engage Culture Team, to prepare and deliver a meal to the Waxhaw Police Department. If you are doing this as a life group, create a sign up genius or list of who will make and bring each item at the designated date and time.
Union County Community Shelter
We can help our friends at Union County Community Shelter with “Housewarming Baskets” for each family/individuals they help become independent again and transition into their own housing.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group… Do a drive for supplies and gather to put baskets together, then schedule delivery to the shelter as a group. The housewarming basket consists of: a laundry basket filled with laundry detergent, dish soap, cleaning supplies, soap, lotion, shampoo, towels and washcloths. You can contact the shelter directly for immediate projects, information or times to prepare and serve meals. www.unionshelter.org

Operation School Supplies
Before each school year begins, we do a backpack, school supplies and uniform drive to assist families in need in our community schools. Look for more information this summer on how you can provide for this essential need that shows God’s love through a simple backpack filled with supplies or a new school uniform.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group… You, your family or life group can adopt an age group or school and do a school supply drive this summer! We partner with Western Union, Waxhaw Elementary for Operation School Supply and use their school supply lists as a guide for filling backpacks along with South Providence School’s uniform needs. Thanksgiving Outreach & Turkey Fry
Each year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we fry turkeys and assemble packages with all of the sides for a Thanksgiving meal to give to Waxhaw area families in need. Currently we partner with Waxhaw and Western Union Elementary along with South Providence School. Each year, we will be provide Thanksgiving meals to approximately 75 families. Operation Christmas Child
We partner with Samaritan’s Purse to participate in their annual shoebox drive. A small shoebox can teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire pastors, and plant new churches. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out is eternal. Be part of changing lives through a simple gift.

Five Stones Blessing Tree
Each December, we partner with Western Union Elementary and other local families in need to provide Christmas gifts based on needs and wants for those who may otherwise go without.
How to get involved individually, as a family or with a life group… Your family, friends and life group can pick a slingshot from the Five Stones Tree and provide the gift indicated on the tag or sign up to serve to help sort the gifts and get them ready for delivery. KEN JONES MEMORIAL FUND
Exists to provide financial assistance for young people to serve and share the love of God in Africa.
The family and friends of Ken Jones have established this fund to honor Ken’s wishes to help supplement the cost of young people who desire to serve and share the love of God with people in Africa.
