Rachel has a passion and love for families and that’s what motivates her to create age-appropriate environments that are engaging, full of fun and most importantly, a place where kids can come to learn more about our amazing God and how they are invited to be a part of His Story. Her desire is to help leverage parental influence in the life of their child by providing resources and opportunities to connect both relational and in spiritual conversations.
After hearing a clear calling on her life to go into full-time ministry, Rachel attended Baptist Bible College pursuing a degree in Youth Ministry and Music. She relocated to the DC Metro area and began working in the local church in areas of worship, event planning and administration. Rachel and her husband Jon met while he was singing Karaoke to “Great Balls of Fire.” They were married in 2006 and have four beautiful children, Kennedy, Jaxen, Hayden and Phoenix. Their family relocated to Charlotte in 2008 where she began building a children’s ministry environment in a small church plant. It was there that she discovered her love for families and her desire to see them lead their homes in a Godly way. She has been at Five Stones since 2011 and on staff since 2013. Rachel LOVES the color orange and loves to sing. Besides singing with the Five Stones Worship Team, you can catch Rachel, aka “the voice of Waxhaw,” singing at the different town events and parades.
