Nancy drove all the way from Southern California to join the Five Stones team in October 2017. She is extremely grateful and excited about her new position in Student Ministries. Supporting Pastor Rob and the Summit team so they can serve students, is the purpose God has called her too.
Before joining Five Stones, Nancy served the Dean of Enrollment services at California Baptist University, (go Lancers), for almost 4 years. Before higher education called her, she spent 14 years as an administrative assistant for 3 pastors at a Southern California church. It is at her 2 previous employment opportunities that she discovered her strengths of: empathy, influence, input, harmony and learner. Because she loved learning, and her kids were out of the house, she went back to school in 2014 to finish her bachelors degree. With the help and support of family and friends she completed her bachelors in Organizational Leadership in the fall of 2017.
The love of Nancy’s life, and her very best friend is her husband Greg (they met in high school and just celebrated 33 years of marriage). Before moving to NC, to be near her kids Steven, Katherine, Caleb, and Ashley, Nancy loved volunteering at Riverside Life Services as a counselor and mentor. Her passion, besides spending time with family, is helping young women discover the truth in God’s Word of how much Jesus loves them and has a plan and purpose for their life. If she were to pick one word to describe her Christian walk it would be “grace”, both received and given. “For from His fullness we have all received grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:16-17).
